this moment made me really upset

and bear with me here through my toph and sokka feelings

but sokka has always tried to protect toph: tried to save her in the serpent’s pass, covered her with his body when the airship was crashing, held onto her at the risk of losing his own life

and seeing him here cowering in fear and looking so young and so much like the old sokka and toph not even hesitating before coming to his rescue just reminds me of why i love them

because they protect each other no matter what

only 900 pages of tagging to go!
